On October 7, 2020, Igor Strembitsky held a master class on video mastery for students of Sumy State University and the city public.
We talked about the canons of montage, directing, and operator’s skill at an unusual angle. In addition to theoretical principles, Igor Strembitsky shared his vision, experience, and life hacks.
The participants of the training learned about journalistic “field tasks”, about things that are not usually told at classical lectures. It was at this point that the fierce debate began. Where and how to find shepherds for a reportage? How can a conventional garbage collector change material about a military parade? Why should there be conflict, interaction in a good plot? How are we manipulated with the help of the “correct” order of shots?
The participants of the training are passionate about the idea of creating their own media works, taking into account the knowledge gained. But the coach’s job was not finished there. Within two weeks, the participants will work at creating their reportages, improving theoretical and practical skills. The next stage is the discussion of works. Everyone is looking forward to the meeting.
